TESTIMONIALS
MESSAGES TO MYSELF - 5 part documentary
series BBC Radio 4
The first subject is Eva Marsh, who had
multiple sclerosis diagnosed in 1967, when she was 22. The illness, though,
was the start of a life, rather than the beginning of the end of a life.
Eva discovered that her husband did not welcome the prospect of looking
after her, so she left her marriage, taking her two children, overcame
her symptoms, and soared to new heights of fulfillment.

Not another diary series you may groan. This
series gets off to an uplifting start with a Canadian mother's triumph
over multiple sclerosis. Abandoned by her husband, Eva Marsh grappled with
unfamiliar research, finding clues which, combined with her positive outlook,
led to recovery.
DAILY MAIL FEBRUARY

Her skepticism about perceived truths,
her brisk empiricism as she observed and experimented on herself, her refusal
to take anything, good or bad, for granted, made extraordinary listening.

For the audience who attended author Eva
Marsh's inspiring talk of courage and determination, they learned what
worked for her on her journey of self healing. After years of studying
MS research papers, the author shared her personal views of what she has
learned from her research, and applied to recovery from the damage caused
by MS. Audience interacted enthusiastically throughout the evening.

Ms. Marsh shared with her audience an account
of her experiences with the disease multiple sclerosis. Her presentation
was informative on a personal level, as well as enthusiastic and inspirational.
Ms Marsh helped to shed a brighter light on what is often seen as a dark
subject.

Eva is one of the most inspiring, courageous,
and committed people I have known, one among the very rare, who exemplify
the human spirit through adversity. The medical staff were equally awed
by her thorough knowledge of existing medical literature and her understanding
of biophysics and pharmacology. Eva speaks and shares from the heart with
great clarity and wisdom; her information is grounded in today's science.
Aija Pavelson PT,
Eva Marsh was the speaker of choice for
an Ecumenical luncheon held at Pioneer Memorial United Church on May 21,
1997. She was a riveting speaker! Her talk was titled "Spirituality, Self
Healing & Multiple Sclerosis." Eva embodied hope when others gave up
on her; she taught all of us, including the medical profession what inner
resources and power we all have within us just waiting to be tapped. She
has touched so many through the speaking circuit and her book. Eva has
found her voice and motivates others to do the same.I recommend her highly
for a workshop or keynote address.

Eva Marsh worked in Stelco Data Processing
Department from March 1981 until January 1988. For most of this time I
was her manager. I did not even know that Eva had multiple sclerosis until
the last year before I left Canada, so there had been no question of making
allowances. In view of her employment record, learning of Eva's lengthy
medical history was most unexpected - in fact downright astonishing.
I believe that Eva's experience and knowledge
of both research and MS, provides unique competence for her to investigate
and propose strategies for the recovery of other sufferers. This would
provide great benefits in the reduction of pain and anguish as well
as significant cost savings. Brian
